When we launched Paddle North nearly ten years ago, one brand we greatly respected was idol surf, led by legendary board shaper Alex Brost. Alex has been a key, local figure for surfing, introducing many of us to the concept of surfing behind a boat (as well as Lake Superior Ice beards).
After years of meeting at events and exchanging ideas, our paths are finally intersecting with change and exciting news...
Paddle North has acquired idol surf, and we're partnering with Alex to expand our surf line. One thing we love about this industry is the friendships we form. We believe that as the water sports industry grows, there’s plenty of room for success, including getting more people outside.
