*THE PORTAGER AND PORTAGER HYBRID ARE IN STOCK*

The Portager is made to move.

This is our most popular board because of its portability and versatility. Now available in three setups: The Portager, Portager Hybrid (with longer Deck-pad, and D-rings to attach a Kayak Seat) and Portager XL.

It is the highest performing inflatable paddle board on the market that has a very comparable feel to our rigid model, called the Loon.

Will this board work for me?

Because the Portager is inflatable, it is very buoyant and fits a very wide range of paddlers. From young children to 350+ lb adults, the board will have the control, stability and balance to support all types. The Portager XL is even more versatile, support solo or tandem paddlers up to 650 lbs.

Some people have asked for a shorter model inflatable board. We do not make the Portager shorter than the 11'6'' length. Length is a key element on the inflatable boards performance. Short inflatable boards sacrifice it's ability to track straight.

First Time Paddle Board Owner

My wife and I are new to paddle boarding. After speaking to a Paddle North employee at the RV Show in Grand Rapids we decided that The Portager was the board for us and we purchased (2). We were finally able to use them over Memorial Day and the boards did not disappoint. The electric pump is a must. My only complaint would be the instructions, which I found to be of little help. I would suggest providing a complete set of instructions written for a first time user. I know that written instructions are becoming a thing of the past, so a video covering every aspect of paddle boarding from explaining the different fins, using the pumps (electric or manual), to the proper paddle height would be a huge help. I have recommended PN to several of our friends.

Incredible Product & Service

This is our first stand up paddle board purchase and the experience was incredible. First, the product's design is well finished and provides a quality appearance in their graphics. Secondly, after two-dozen uses in just a short period of time, my family has become SUP fans! The accessory kit that came with the inflatable SUP was well thought out and of the highest quality. Finally, the staff expedited our shipment in time for a birthday which was greatly appreciated! Great product, great team! Thanks again.

Review on 2

We received our two ported jers in May 2022 and I’ve used several times. The kids love them, the ease of transport and stability is outstanding. We also purchased the electric pump to aid us in use which unfortunately has not performed as well. With that said however I would strongly recommend this company‘s products to anybody!

Go!

Outstanding quality and design. I was concerned about ‘inflating a board’…no more with the Portager. It’s solid and super strong. Electric pump is the way to go - east and fast. The accessory items are all equal in quality and design. Total deflation and careful rolling of the board and goes into the pack easily. Easy to recommend the entire package and the Paddle North team is outstanding! Thank you guys!

Quick Facts

Board dimensions inflated: 11'6'' x 33'' x 6'' & 21 lbs to carry.

Board dimensions deflated: 33'' x 10'' in diameter roll, 37'' x 18'' x 10'' when in bag with all accessories.

Time to inflate: ~5 minutes (current record is 1:13 with the manual pump)

Time to deflate: ~2 minutes

Board weight: 21 lbs

Board capacity: Supports any size paddler and gear up to 350 lbs. Above 350 pounds, the board's balance gets more difficult.

Features

Extreme rigidity and buoyancy - made from the highest grade, 1.2mm drop-stitch PVC in a 6" thickness.

No over inflation - a built in pressure regulator monitors pressure, so over inflating beyond capacity is a thing of the past. This is especially important in warm weather environments where intense heat and sunlight can increase pressure quickly when pulled out of the water.

Universal valve - Halkey-Roberts valves allow any type of air compressor or electric pump to be used. They also self-seal, so there's no race to close it (losing valuable air pressure).

Strengthen up to 18 psi - all seams are built to withstand up to 18 psi with our unique 3-layer seam lamination system. It feels like a rigid board on the water.

What's included?

In short, everything but a life jacket.

The Portager Includes:
(1) Portager Paddle Board
(1) All Terrain Backpack
(1) Dual Action Pump
(1) 10' Ankle Leash
(1) 10" Lake Fin: open water on lakes, rivers, and ocean, this fin will provide the best tracking performance.
(1) 5" WeedShedda® Fin: shallow rivers, creeks, and weedy water.
(1) 3-Piece Aluminum Paddle
(1) User Manual

The Portager Hybrid includes the above items, plus:
(1) Superior Inflator Triple Action Pump (instead of Dual Action Pump)

Note: The Kayak Accessory Kit for the Portager Hybrid is not included in the standard package and must be purchased separately.

Increase Strokes Per Side (SPS):

Inflatable boards naturally sit higher on the water, which can have a negative impact on a board's tracking performance. We've counteracted this by adding in the must-have displacement hull nose shape. This nose cuts the water and increases the Portager's speed and tracking performance.

At 33'' wide and 6'' thick, the Portager remains extremely buoyant and stable up to 350 lbs. Width is the biggest factor linked to stability, and 33'' wide is wider than most boards.
